The Cinque Terre consists of a row of century-old villages located on the rugged coastline of the Italian Riviera. In each of the 5 villages, colorful houses and vineyards cling to steep terraces. The harbors welcome numerous fishing boats and the trattorias offer seafood specialties as well as the famous pesto sauce of the Ligurian region. The Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail connects the villages with each other and offers a panoramic view of the sea.
