Nothing stays in the same light.
The rock holds its shape while the weather changes everything around it. Meadows and towers introduce the range; a cup on a wooden table brings a pause. The sequence then follows a colder, more exposed landscape into golden light, ending where the mountains almost disappear into cloud.
Light across the meadows.
Wooden huts punctuate the grass. Beyond them, the first light reaches the rock.
Beneath the towers.
Cloud passes over the faces of the rock. A figure in the foreground gives the walls their scale.
A pause, close at hand.
From the scale of the towers to the grain of a wooden table. A small, ordinary scene gives the mountains a moment to recede.
The stillness below.
Boats trace a line across deep blue water. Along another shore, the forest and the last warm light meet in reflection.
The weather takes over.
A cool summit and a warm one answer each other. Light breaks through, then softens until the cloud becomes the subject.
