Beyond the end of the road.
A valley opens beneath the mountains. Vehicles mark the passage through the landscape, from the forest to the gathering dusk. The photographs then leave the road behind: a river, a figure against the snow, and a lake enclosed by stone. Six images moving towards a quieter, more open view.
Along the way.
A track through the trees; headlights beneath a darkening sky. The vehicles give the journey a scale before the mountains take it back.
Where the road falls away.
The river draws a line through the valley. A small red figure stands below the snow. The final frame opens onto still water.
